Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • You were not our barber, but you were famous for that as well. We remember you for your music. Your booming basso voice that sounded like the trumpet of the archangel Michael announcing the second coming. And especially one long talk with you at Centro Caboto about your band the C-Notes and how you enjoyed the pop and the jazz world and the dance music world as a drummer and singer. And how wonderfully you sang at the 90th anniversary of our beloved Holy Rosary church and how that inspired everyone to work hard and do our best for such a welcoming church. And the jazz people you knew you knew everyone we did and had known them for many years, and we wondered why but never asked why you had not gone into the Opera with such a voice. Was it tough in the old days to make a career from Canada you'd have to go to New York or Toronto and leave your beloved community behind? You were the same age as our Holy Rosary Church and the church will go on but it will not be the same place as we miss you, one-of-a-kind man musician barber and fellow parishioner and we pray for you and your family. - Posted by: Ron and Liliana Romanowski (Friends) on: May 03, 2026
